Reading rough
Rough varies dramatically in colour, transparency, fracturing, crystal habit and possible cutting yield. A bright surface can conceal internal fissures; a modest crystal may reveal stronger colour after orientation.
We do not automatically call rough “facet grade”. Suggested use is presented as an informed opinion only when the material has been examined closely.

A permanent crystal record
Meaningful crystals receive an identifier such as NE-R001. Their rough weight, dimensions, photographs, predicted yield, cutting decision and eventual outcome can then remain connected.
The initial documented parcel is being prepared. Until verified weights and provenance notes are complete, no specimen is shown as available inventory.
